Pamporovo
Pamporovo is a modern ski resort, located in the very heart of the Rhodopes Mountain. It is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort, which offers snow through out the entire winter season. The specific nature of the region makes the resort equally attractive in both winter and summer. The Pamporovo Resort is situated at 1650 m above sea level, at the foot of the Snejanka peak (1926 m). The resort is at a distance of 260 km away from the city of Sofia, 85 km away from Plovdiv and 31 km away from the town of Devin. |

Climate
The climate in the area is characterized with mild winter, and approximately 120 sunny days during the entire season. The ski-season starts in mid-December and continues until the middle of April. Due to the influence of the Mediterranean climate, the daily temperatures here do not vary significantly. The average temperature in the region is -3°C. The high mountain tops serve as natural barrier, which stops the winds and preserves the snow cover during the winter. | ||||||
